Records of Cornell AIDS Action, reflecting the work of Sharon J. Dittman, the Sexuality and AIDS educator (1987-1090) and Coordinator of Cornell AIDS Action (1990-1992). Includes annual reports (1991-1995); records of the CU AIDS Advisory Committee (1991-1992); Dittman's and the Peer Educators' subject files and educational videos on AIDS and sexuality; and training, workshop, and resource materials from Cornell AIDS Action, Peer Educators, and SAFER (Students for AIDS Facts Education and Responsibility), including The AIDS Education Game. Course packs from Spring and Fall 1992, Fall 1993, and Fall 1994, for "AIDS and Society" class (Biology and Society 451), which Dittman co-taught with Ari van Tienhoven. Includes "I Think Mr. Jingles has AIDS!" a children's book designed by three students in the Fall 1992 class. AIDS and safe sex posters in numerous languages and from various organizations, mostly from 31 states and the District of Columbia in the United States, as well as from 9 other countries.

Prof. of Animal Physiology Ari Van Tienhoven taught an "AIDS and Society" class from 1989 to 1992. Near the end of the semester the first year the course was offered, students hosted an event at Willard Straight Hall at which the Cornell bear handed out condoms outside, and inside they had displays and public readings about AIDS.
